Shoe art from Alexander McQueen
It’s not every day that a pair of heels deserves an exclusive glass rack in the living room amidst numerous souvenirs, expensive wall hangings and art sculptures.
The fashion house of Alexander McQueen illustrates just how design brilliance doesn’t end at the ankles, but goes all the way till the bottom of the feet.
These intricately designed wedges, part of the McQueen spring 2011 collection, are a classic embodiment of artistic surrealism. The crisp, but gentle flower petals curve around the edges of the leather platform creating a perfect balance between design and wearability. Almost exhibiting a Grecian bride look, this creation by Sarah Burton is a true amalgamation of fashion and art
But this stunning unfolding piece of art also deserves a scheduled weekly pedicure, just saying.
