Blown away

The saying goes something like this, “Wear your clothes. Don’t let the clothes wear you”.

When designers sketch out a creation, the entirety of its aesthetic and details only emerge when it’s seen wrapped around a body. Be it a mannequin or down the runway, no one likes a dress on a hanger.

Stylist Katie Grand takes this idea of exhibiting clothes to another level in the November issue of Vogue Japan where she rediscovers the art of wearing clothes. In this airy world, the trail of an evening gown doesn’t sit perfectly and the evident creases around the hips are not disregarded.
